Letting Go to Step Into God’s Best for 2026

Happy New Year, friends. I hope you had a peaceful and joyful holiday season.
As we step into 2026, I want to invite you to pause and reflect. Is there something God asked you to release in 2025 that you are still holding onto?
Lately, God has been pressing one message on my heart. It is time to let go of the things that no longer serve us.

That is not easy. Letting go can feel impossible when you are stuck in a hard season. When life feels heavy. When the way forward feels unclear. I know this firsthand. If you have followed my journey or read my books, you know I have walked through deep trials. One of the hardest lessons I learned was this: letting go of control.
We hold onto control because we believe we know what is best for ourselves. But when we do not walk in obedience to God, we create obstacles in our own lives. I like to think of these obstacles as cobwebs. Over time, they build up and block the path God is trying to clear for us.

God, in His mercy, will always step in to remove those cobwebs. He will clean the path and guide us forward. But the easiest way to deal with cobwebs is not to create them in the first place.
How do we do that?
We invite God to lead us every day.
We allow Him to guide our choices. The big ones and the small ones. We ask Him before we act. Before we speak. Before we decide. Even before we make a purchase or enter a conversation.
Imagine walking through your day with Jesus beside you. Every step. Every moment. When you do that, His guidance becomes clearer. His presence becomes real. And His peace begins to settle in your heart.

As you look ahead to 2026, I want to ask you a simple but powerful question:
What do you need to clean out of your life?
Is it a relationship? Anger? Fear? Frustration? Old wounds? Control?
What is holding you back from becoming who God created you to be?
As we begin this new year, think about what you want to leave behind in 2025. Then ask God what He wants you to carry into 2026. Be still. Listen. He may speak in quiet moments. In dreams. Through other people. Or through gentle signs along the way.
He is with you right now.
This January, I want to challenge you. Take one step. Just one. Invite God into your daily life in a deeper way. Let Him lead. Let Him guide. Let Him work.
You may not see changes right away. Sometimes they are subtle. Sometimes they come as a shift in your heart. Sometimes they come as peace where there was once pain. Pay attention. Recognize His presence.

To everyone who reads, listens, and walks this journey with us at Faith Under Fire, thank you. Your faith, honesty, and courage matter. Please share this community with others who may feel alone. Because they are not alone. God is with them. Always.
My prayer is that 2026 becomes the best year of your life. Not because it is easy. But because you allow God to create what He has already prepared for you.
God bless you.
Love and light to you always,
